I first met Ron in the fall of 1966 when we played on the WHS sophomore football team.  He was my center and I was his quarterback.  We had so much fun learning the right way to play organized football.  Life was good.  Three years of sports, classes together, and a whole lot of fun.  Then we graduated and headed off to different colleges.  We each found the love of our life, raised wonderful families and had successful business careers.  I reconnected with Ron at WHS class reunions and informal WHS classmate get-togethers, of which, Ron was always involved as an event organizer.  We reconnected through these events and shared many good memories and stories.  Ron was a class act in all respects.  He will be greatly missed.  My sympathy and prayers go out to his wife Jackie and his other family members.

Ron was a dear friend, even though we didn't see each other much after highschool, I will never forget him. He was a kind soul and we are going to miss him. I'll never forget teaching him how to work out and our time on the wrestling team. RIP my dear friend Ron Bowers...

Ron Bowers was the kindest, sweetest, person to walk the halls of Washington High School. Everyone was his friend! He always had a smile on his face, and made everyone laugh. His beautiful Jackie was the love of his life. He will be missed by myself and all that knew him. I'd like to extend my sincere condolences to Jackie and his beautiful family. May your happy memories of Ron help you through this difficult time. Rest in peace RonπŸ’”πŸ™<>>
