About the Washington High School Alumni Scholarship Foundation

Originally founded as the Balzer-Schardt Scholarship Foundation in 1961, its sole purpose was awarding scholarships to college bound Washington High School graduates. Today, the Washington High School Alumni Scholarship Foundation, a 501(c)3, tax-exempt organization, awards college scholarships, assists college bound students by underwriting the cost of advanced placement testing, college tours, and various programs which stimulate and reward attendance, scholarship, and citizenship.
