Tom was a good class President & friend & I can't tell you how sorry/sad I was to see that he passed away. He'll be missed by all who knew him & was too young to be gone already. I always liked that Tom & his wife Rita were HS sweethearts. He always was 1 of the good guys & was smiling all the time. It's not going to be the same at Class Reunions anymore, without him around.  Mark A. Voelz; Class of Jan. 68

It was 1967 at the city relays, we had run the shuttle hurdles and were sitting on the infield, just talking.  It was then that I knew how special my time was with Tom, he was always willing to be one of the regular guys.  I had little in common with Tom, class president, top ten scholar and well mannered.   However, he made all of us feel like we were just like him, full of potential with great things in our future.  Tom had all the essentials of a great leader, you were kinder and a better person when he was around. He took the harsh edge, off me and showed me another way, a great guy!
