Passed away on his 73rd birthday with his loving family by his side on Sunday, March 6, 2022. Loving husband and best friend of Cynthia "Cindy" (nee Chase) Voelz for 51 years. Beloved dad of Jessi Voelz and Joni (Joel) Fletcher. Cherished Papa of Benjamin Fletcher, Emme Rennpferd, Gunther Rennpferd, Caitlyn Fletcher and Henrik Rennpferd. Dear brother of Aileen (the late Jerry) Couillard. Dear brother-in-law of Hal (Julie) Chase and Nancy Chase. Preceded in death by his parents Theodore and Irmgard (nee Lutz) Voelz and his siblings Kurt Voelz and Andrea Voelz. Further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

Visitation at the Funeral Home on SATURDAY, March 12, 2022 from 12:00PM-3:00PM. Funeral Service at 3:00 PM with Military Honors to follow. 

Our family takes comfort in the memories of time spent with you, the amazing trips we had, your crazy sense of humor, your “pestering” and teasing, and your fierce love of family. We take joy in knowing that you finally get to be with beloved pets, especially Buddy, get to fish all day long, and are finally going to be able to play that long-awaited Sheepshead game with family you have missed dearly. Your daughters will spend the rest of their lives telling your stories to your grandchildren, and they in turn pass down your memory in acts like snugga wugas at bedtime. As a united family we will walk into the future with the never-ending warmth of your love and protection, though we now have to walk it without you on earth. Thank you to the amazing nursing staff at St. Luke’s hospital, especially Julie, Renee, Abby and Andrea. You not only helped our Mark, but is too. You are a true blessing for all those you care for.
