In Memory

Leigh Lukacek - Class Of 1967

Lukacek, Leigh perennial hippie and unapologetic daydreamer, passed away unexpectedly on January 12, 2016. He thrived outdoors and life revolved around recipes, garden seeds, photography, sheepshead and the History Channel. His wicked sense of humor and mischievous nature were legendary. Life-partner, Jo Anne Crawford, and forever fur-friend Max II, will especially miss his quick smile and gentle spirit. He was born on February 3, 1949, to Ed and Florence Lukacek, who precede him in death. Sisters Joanna Pistor, Margo Schwenke (Jon), Jan Cuomo, and Renee Mielke (Jim) treasure stories only siblings can share. Also survived by dear friend Dennis Cuomo, adopted son Gabriel, a host of nieces and nephews, and the J-Boyz, coconspirators inspired by his pyrotechnic displays. A Celebration of Life memorial will be held in the spring, when the sun begins to warm and the daffodils bloom. Donations to HAWS, the Waukesha Humane Society, would be appreciated.
