        Obituary

George E. Voos III, loving husband, father, and Papa, passed peacefully from this life on Monday, December 7, 2015 at age 78, surrounded by his loved ones. 
He will be greatly missed by his wife Joyce, daughter Sandy, sons James and David, daughters-in-law, Vicky and Michaelle, son-in-law, Mark Wilson, and his grandchildren, Jonathan, Alyse, and Jake Voos. 
He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sarah Aislyn Wilson, parents George E. Jr. and Dorothy Voos, father and mother-in-law, Walter and Caroline Conley, and sister-in-law, Dorothy Kopp. 
George loved life and enjoyed family time, traveling, and attending sporting events. 
He grew up in Wisconsin where he joined the Air Force, lived abroad and then settled in Schertz, TX as a resident for 43 years. George retired in 1977 to pursue a second career, teaching and coaching at Corbett M.S. for 17 years. 
He volunteered much of his time and energy to help establish and support the Buffalo Valley Youth Association. 

Schertz Funeral Home - Visitation: Thursday, December 17, 2015, 5:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service: Friday, December 18, 2015, 1:00 p.m., with interment to follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery.
