Shirley Horvath (Tieffenbach) - Class Of 1947 VIEW PROFILE

Tieffenbach, Shirley (Nee Horvath) Born to Life on May 30, 1929, and passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017, at age 88 after a brief illness. She is lovingly survived by her daughter Jackie (Dennis) Mellem, grandson Tony Kolp, and her daily companion, her dog, Charlie. Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert, and her parents Frank and Hazel Horvath. Shirley was a devoted mother whose greatest joy in life was her family. She especially adored her grandson and loved spending time with him. He was the light of her life. Shirley enjoyed working as a secretary at Millikin Homes for almost 30 years. She loved and cared for animals all of her life and she was an avid reader of novels and newspapers. Special thanks to the caring and compassionate team at AngelsGrace hospice for their excellent care and for making Shirley's last days comfortable. It was Shirley's wish to not have a memorial service. Donations made in her honor to the Elmbrook Humane Society, C.A.R.E. Avian Rescue in Waukesha or Alley Cat Allies are appreciated.
