Marilyn Frey (Voight) - Class Of 1944

Voight, Marilyn J. (Nee Frey ) 89, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many, passed away peacefully on June 23, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Hulda Frey of Milwaukee. Marilyn married the love of her life, Joseph A. Voight, on November 9, 1946. He preceded her in death in 2004. For more than 50 years, Marilyn and Joe lived in Wauwatosa where they raised three sons. Marilyn is survived by her sons Joe (Kathy) of Oconomowoc, Bob (Annie) of LaJolla, California, and Michael of Rosarito Beach, Mexico. Grandchildren Dave (Terri), Mark (Anjum), and Brian (Stacy), as well as great-grandchildren Matt, Sophia, Anika, Patrick, Halle, and Colin will miss her presence in their lives. She is also survived by her sister Jean of Pewaukee. Marilyn leaves behind a legacy of love as mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Family and friends were Marilyn's passion and delight. She will be remembered as a happy, fun, generous, and thoughtful individual who loved life. She especially enjoyed her friendships with the legendary "Sit and Sew" group (remarkably accomplished Wauwatosa and Brookfield women) and her monthly Bridge Club (Grace, Jean, Audrey, and Bobbi). Their memories and friendships will last forever. The family also wishes to thank the countless individuals at Three Pillars Senior Living Communities in Dousman whose support and care made it possible for Marilyn to remain comfortable and content until her passing. Donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or Three Pillars Senior Living Communities. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 26, 2016 from 12 Noon until the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM at WISCONSIN MEMORIAL PARK-CHAPEL OF THE FLOWERS, 13235 W. Capitol Dr., Brookfield. Private interment Wisconsin Memorial Park.
