Emma H. Wagner (Misfeldt) - Class Of 1939

Misfeldt, Emma H . (Nee Wagner ). Alexian Village, Milwaukee. December 20, 2015, age 94 years. Preceded in death by Lawrence, her husband of 65 years, brother Arthur Wagner, and daughter Marilyn Miller. Survived by son Bruce (Pat) Misfeldt, son-in-law David Miller, 4 grandchildren, Christine Miller, Todd Miller, Cheryl Frank, Janet Miller, and 4 great grandchildren. Emma was a proud 1939 graduate of Washington High School, Milwaukee. When the Misfeldt family lived in Racine (1950 - 1964) Emma was active in Racine Lutheran High School's women's association. While a resident of Mequon Emma gave of her time as a poll-worker, and volunteered at the Burleigh Ave. Economy Center in Milwaukee operated by Lutheran Counseling and Family Services. As an avid flower gardener, Emma made the roadside drainage ditch in front of their home bloom into a neighborhood landmark. Into her nineties, Emma with a few other ladies used discarded cloth to make over a hundred quilts a year for Lutheran World Relief. A memorial service will be held at Alexian Village of Milwaukee's Chapel of the Holy Spirit, 9301 N. 76th St, Milwaukee, at 2PM, Saturday, January 2, 2016.
