Wayne "Red" Hill
May 12, 1927 - January 4, 2017

 

Completed the Circle of Life on January 4, 2017 at the age of 89. Born and raised in Milwaukee to parents, Lucille and Albert Hill. Red is preceded in death by his parents and his devoted wife, Mary (Nee McMullen). He is survived by his beloved daughter, Sherry (Tom) Schlicht, loving grandchildren, Todd (Tammy) Schlicht and Reggie (Christopher) Drewek, special great-grandchildren, Kalee and Trevor Schlicht, Alexis and Brady Drewek, dear sister, Patricia (Jack) Berry, other caring relatives and friends.

Red retired after 35 years with Outboard Marine. He graduated from Washington High School where he was a star on the basketball team. He also played on the farm team for the Milwaukee Braves, circa 1946. A proud veteran of the U.S. Navy, he is a member of the American Legion Post 449. Red was active in numerous benevolent organization, serving as past Master of  McKinley Lodge #307, past Thrice Potent Master of Scottish Rite, Tripoli Temple, Royal Order of Jesters, Shriners, past Director of Director's Staff, past Big Hump of El Hajj, the Loyal Order of Moose, the Elks Club and the Lion's Club. Red was also an avid golfer.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 9, at the Funeral Home from 4 PM until time of Masonic Service followed by Full Military Honors and Funeral Service at 7 PM. Private Interment at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
