Donna R. Hemauer
May 23, 1938 - March 12, 2020
Donna R. Hemauer, age 81, a resident of St. Germain since 1996 and formerly of Waukesha, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Thursday, March 12, 2020.
Donna was born in Milwaukee on May 23, 1938 to Lester and Marie Badura (nee Graeber). She married her one true love, Ronald, on August 17, 1957, in Milwaukee. Donna was a loving mother to Randy and Lesli.
Donna was a stay at home mom until her children began middle school. She then worked as an office manager for most of her career in the heating and cooling industry.
Donna was very creative and artsy. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, knitting, painting, wool applique and anything else you can imagine. She enjoyed the winters she and Ron spent in Florida and Texas and the many friends she made during these trips. Donna was an active member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Eagle River, where she truly felt at home. She was very grateful for the many friends she made at Prince of Peace and truly valued her friendship with Pastor Andrea.
Donna was the past president of the St. Germain Lioness and spent countless hours volunteering at the Lioness food booth at the St. Germain flea market. She received the Knight of Sight Fellowship from the Lions Eye Bank of Wisconsin for the time she spent giving eye tests to school age children. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting hats and scarves for children and adults who were in need of winter wear. She enjoyed quilting at Prince of Peace with Peacemakers and Lutheran World Relief.
Donna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Ronald, and her parents. She is survived by son Randy (Janean) Hemauer of St. Germain; daughter Lesli Hemauer of Delafield; grandchildren Angela and Steven; great-grandchildren Mya and Damian; and her brother Gary (Kathleen) Badura of Waukesha. She is further survived by a niece, other family and many friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at Prince of Peach Church.
