LaPlante, Loyal V. Age 84, of Menomonee Falls, passed away on August 24, 2017. Born June 5, 1933, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Loyal and Marta (Spankowski). Loyal graduated in 1952 from Washington High School and earned his degree from UW-Madison in 1955. He served in the U.S. Army stationed in Berlin. On November 29, 1958, he married the love of his life Janet Javers. They were High School sweethearts and have been together 67 years. He loved golf, playing sheepshead with friends, fishing and spending time at his cottage on Moose Lake. Loyal and Janet traveled and had the opportunity to golf all over the world including Africa, Bali, and St. Andrews. In 1958, he began as a Residential Loan Officer and worked his way up to the Executive Vice President of Mortgage Associates, Inc./Fleet Mortgage Corp. He also served as President of the Wisconsin Mortgage Bankers Association. Loyal was the loving father of Lisa, Denise (Tom) Smith, and Michelle (Scott) Laasch. He was also the admired grandfather of Cory, Kallie, Alyssa, Natalee, Julia and Jessica. Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 2, at Brookfield Lutheran Church 18500 W. Burleigh Rd., Brookfield from 2 PM until a Memorial Service at 4 PM followed by a Celebration of Life at Silver Spring Country Club N56 W21318 Silver Spring Dr., Menomonee Falls.
