Earle Crain Albright Notice

Albright, Earle Crain Formerly of Wauwatosa, WI, passed peacefully on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Addolorata Villa in Wheeling, IL. Born to Earle S. Albright and Madeline Crain Albright on April 8, 1926 in Springfield, IL, Earle embraced challenge through every phase of his life. At Washington High School in Milwaukee, he excelled in academics and sports, attending Badger Boys State and earning letters in football, baseball, track, and wrestling. He married classmate Shirley Spangenberg, on May 16, 1947. After his service in the Navy and attendance at Park College and the University of Michigan, Earle added his unique brand of advertising and marketing intelligence to the Jos. Schlitz Brewing Company, G. Heileman Brewing Company, ad agency Leo Burnett, and co-founded ad agency Albright & Street. Following Shirley's death in 1988, Earle married lifelong family friend Molly Hart. In 2005, Earle was challenged by a massive stroke, only to defy his grim prognosis by hand crafting a scale model of the solar system, writing poetry and urging others to plow through adversity. Predeceased by his brother, Bill, and wives, Shirley and Molly, Earle is survived by his daughter Jane (David Emmerich), daughter Amy (Jim Carlson), and son, John (Mary Spangler); grandchildren Stephanie Emmerich, Stacie (Steven Stark) and Deke (Alison Moore); great-grandchildren Rylan, Aubrey, Teagan, Kipton and Rae; stepchildren Karen Hart (Max Chiddister), Robin Hart (David Beatty), Kevin Hart (Mary Humphries) and Sarah Hart (Steve Pfeil); sisters Kay Bixler, Madge Voltz and Liz Albright; and scores of beloved nieces, nephews and their extended families. Heartfelt thanks go to caregiver Tony Codd and the loving staff at Addolorata Villa, who quickly became family. A private service will be held. Anyone wishing to make a memorial donation in Earle's name is encouraged to contact Addolorata Villa at https://www.franciscanministries.org/support-our-mission/ so that others might receive their special care.
