Jack R. Augustin - Class Of 1939 VIEW PROFILE

Age 86, died August 19, 2005, at his home in Whitewater, WI. He was born Feb. 7, 1919, in Milwaukee. The son of Rudolph and Magdalene Augustin. Jack was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps where he obtained the rank of staff seargant. He married Cora Edith Lewis Aug. 14, 1946, and she preceded him in death Nov. 17, 2000. Jack retired as Branch Manager and Assistant Regional Manager of I.T.T. Grinnel Corporation in Milwaukee with 43 years of service to the P.V.F. Industry. He had been a member of the Milwaukee and Elkhorn Kiwanis Club and a former member of the Henry L. Palmer #301 Masonic Lodge. Jack also was a graduate of Washington High School in Milwaukee in 1937. Upon his retirement in May 1981, Jack and his wife moved to their lake home at Lauderdale Lakes, rural Elkhorn and then moved to the Whitewater area in 1994. Survivors include 4 children, Eric (Carol) Augustin, Julie Lynn (Paul) Payne, Mark (Monica) Augustin and John Augustin; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, June Augustin and Dorothy Gajowski; special friends, Shirley Thompson and Rick and Marion Huettle. Jack was also grandpa to Jacob Augustin, a special gift from God. The Service will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park in Brookfield at 11:00 AM Wed., Aug. 24, 2000. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Service. The Family requests no flowers. The Betts Funeral Home of Elkhorn is assisting the family. 262-723-2616
