Lloyd Buero - Class Of 1944

BUERO, Lloyd P., 85, of Lake Placid, Fla., was resurrected unto our Lord on Thursday morning, January 26, 2012. Lloyd died in the Florida Hospital in Lake Placid in the companionship of his loving wife and family. He was a native of Wisconsin, born in Milwaukee, October 3, 1926, son of Ms. Rose and Michael Buero.  After Lloyd graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee he entered and graduated from the Milwaukee Tech School with an automotive degree.  Lloyd enlisted into the US Army after his school days and fought in the Korean Conflict. He was discharged after his hitch as a Master Sargent and immediately went into business for himself. Lloyd founded and operated Brown Deer Auto Body Repair in Brown Deer, Wis., for 40 years before retiring and moving to Pompano Beach, Fla. In 1991 he decided to come to Lake Placid. Lloyd enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting. He was a member of St. James Catholic Church. Lloyd is survived by his wife, Frances Friedl whom he wed August 22, 1953 in Milwaukee; children, Mary Pat Baggs (Robert) of Lake Placid, Diane Horstmann, Jeffrey (Tara), James (Shere), all of Pompano Beach, Fla.; sisters, Jane Kirst and Joan Grobe both of Milwaukee, Wisc; and he was blessed with his grandchildren, Sara, Katie and Kelly. A Christian Memorial Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 30, at St. James Catholic Church with sounding of taps and folding of the colors by the US Army Honor Guard. Father Michael Cannon will celebrate. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to; VA Hospital, Attn: Fisher House, 7305 N. Military Trail, West Palm Beach, Fla. 33410.
