Sue A. Griffin - Class Of 1965

Sue A. Griffin Notice

Griffin, Sue A. Age 68, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully after a heroic battle with cancer on October 29, 2015 at AngelsGrace Hospice. She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Florence Griffin. She will be greatly missed by brothers William (Barbara) Griffin of Mukwonago and Glen Griffin of Eagle, one niece Brenda (Ron) Storm and one great-nephew Levi Storm of Prairie du Sac. Sue was born May 10, 1947 in Milwaukee where she grew up and attended Washington High School. After graduating from UWM, she became a grade school teacher for MPS teaching for 18 years at Trowbridge followed by 20 more years at Cooper. During her teaching career, she spent many years as the unofficial social director for office functions. Upon retiring, she became involved with many craft projects donating to Hartland Hospice, Hospice Advantage, Allay Hospice, Interfaith, and Waukesha Hospital. The volunteer Coordinator used to say, "It was always Christmas whenever Sue showed up because you never knew what goodies Sue was bringing to share with the clients". She was also an excellent cook/baker and always enjoyed playing cards with her family. Rest in peace Sue. You have touched many lives with your teaching and many more with your creative crocheting and handiwork and will most certainly be missed by all. The family wishes to extend a "Thank You" to the staff of ProHealth and to AngelsGrace Hospice. A private graveside service will be held for the family at Little Prairie Cemetery. Memorials to Little Prairie Cemetery or St. Joseph's Medical Center of Waukesha would be appreciated. Haase Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home is assisting the family.
