Sarah was one of my best friends during our high school days.  She had such a sunny personality....When she laughed, you couldn't help but laugh with her.  We double dated several times.  Her talent with the cello was legendary.  I think I believe I even heard later that she was accepted into a professional orchestra.  Our friend, Pat McPherson dubbed us the Terrible Trio of Washington High.  She was right!!  Pat, Faye and I had some wonderful times together.  We were all so happy when her son was born!  I wish I could remember the name of her high school sweetheart turned husband.  I know her son's name was Timothy.  If anyone knows how and when she passed, I would like to know.  Rest in Peace my sweet friend!

Sarah was married to Rick Larson.  She died of breast cancer in March, 2002.  Boy, I can't believe it's been so long.  It seems like yesterday.  A group of us had just had lunch together the previous Thanksgiving weekend and she looked good and was so happy in her new career as a teacher.  She was a good friend since early years at 38th Street School.  I can still hear her laughing.  What a zest for life Sarah had.  I think of her often and every year on her birthday.

I must have made a mistake on entering. I posted for Faye Lecher's memorial and it showed up as Sarah Lerner's. Sarah and Rick were also part of our little group. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. We had so much fun decorating Dick Power's car for homecoming in 1966.
