Obituary for Carl S. Burk Jr.

Carl Sidney Burk Jr. age 72, passed away peacefully at his rural Pine River home on April 1, 2020. 
Carl was born on November 13, 1947, in Milwaukee the son of Carl Sr. and Dorothy (Fay) Burk. 
He was a 1966 graduate of Washington High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1968-1972. 
Throughout Carl’s life he enjoyed working with numbers, he was a railroad clerk for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad form many years, later he worked as a systems manager for AT & T and currently for H & R Block where he enjoyed helping people file their taxes. 
In his earlier years when his son became a Cub Scout, Carl became a Den Leader and later became very active in The Boy Scouts of America. They had many trips and adventures and many kept in contact with Carl through the years. The boys, now men, held Carl in high regard and treasured their friendship and mentorship. 
Carl is survived by his life partner, Richard Bielski; son, Scott Edward (Tiffany) Burk; sister, Judy Scaggs; brothers, Paul A. Burk, James D. (Pamela) Burk; he is further survived by brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many friends. 
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Nancy Lee Burk, Dawn Fay Hickey; aunts, uncles and other relatives. 
He was a loving, kind and caring person to everyone he knew. 
With shattered hearts we go on. 
Carl, God’s Graces, rest in peace. 
Family and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, July 18, 2020 from 10:00-11:15 a.m. at the Wiecki-Skipchak Funeral Home of Berlin with a memorial serice following the visitation. 
Inurment with full military honors will occur in the Marion Cemetery (Town of Wautoma)following the service. 
All are invited then to Moose Inn of Wautoma for a time of fellowship and celebration of Carl's life.
