Jack M. "Sam" Samson of the Town of Tomah, formerly of Jackson and Hampton, GA, passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2008 with his family by his side at Gunderson Lutheran Medical Center in LaCrosse at the age of 66.

He was born on September 15, 1942 in West Bend, being the only child of the late Jack and Emogene (nee Jacklin) Samson.

For more than 40 years. he was an employee of Peck Meat Packing. His life's passions included working on cars, spending time outdoors and fishing.

Survivros include 5 children: Darrin (Terry) of Ellenwood, GA, Shawn (Patty) of Cedarburg, Melissa (Juan) Decastro-Samson of Green Bay, Shane (Michelle) of Cedarburg and Dean (Robin) of Tomah; 15 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 24 at 2 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Jackson with Rev. David Flegel officiataing. Burial will follow in St. Peter's UCC Cemetery in the Town of Jackson. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until 1:45 p.m.
