Passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, January 31, 2015, at the age of 74. Beloved husband of Leanne (nee Geller) for 50 wonderful years, adoring father to Staci and Evan and their spouses Michael Blaustein and Monique Meloche, proud Papa to Lily and Theo Blaustein, and devoted brother to Suzanne (Sidney) Herszenson and Neill (Lanie) Boris and brother-in-law to Gary (Denny) Geller, Rabbi Gordon (Elaine) Geller and Richard (Amy Blumenthal) Geller. Freddie was born on November 7, 1940, to Helene and Aaron Boris in Brooklyn, NY, and moved to Milwaukee at the age of 2. He graduated from Washington High School and the UW-Madison School of Pharmacy, opening his first pharmacy at the age of 26. Over the next 35 years, he owned several pharmacies in downtown Milwaukee. Freddie loved his family, music, the Green Bay Packers and all Wisconsin sports, golfing, spending time at his condo in Sarasota and Friday Chinese lunch with his dear friends. He was an active member of Congregation Shalom, where he was one of the founders of the Adult Choir and was honored to sing at the high holidays and serve as a cantorial soloist. Freddie will be profoundly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Congregation Shalom, 7630 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Fox Point. Interment Mound Zion Cemetery, 14510 W. North Ave., Brookfield. Memorial gifts to Congregation Shalom are appreciated.

The family will receive friends at Congregation Shalom following burial at approximately 4 PM. You are welcome to remain at Congregation Shalom following the funeral service if unable to go to the cemetery. The family will also receive friends Wed, Thurs, and Saturday evenings beginning at 6:30 PM at the Boris Residence, 2604 W Lake Park Court, Mequon.
