Joyce Thompson (Chiapusio) - Class Of 1957

Chiapusio, Joyce L. (Nee Thompson ) Of Milwaukee, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sat., Sept. 20, 2014, at the age of 75 years. Beloved wife of Thomas J. Chiapusio for 53 years. Devoted mother of Jayne (William) Schneider and Thomas O. Chiapusio. Preceded in death by her infant son Thomas John. Dear sister of Jeanne (Dick) Schultis and Wayne Thompson. Sister-in-law of Nancy (the late Sylvester), Dianne (Norbert "Jim") Deakin and John (Joanne) Chiapusio. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Joyce was a graduate of Washington High School. She was a member of Milwaukee Players, Elm Grove Players, American Legion Auxiliary, Carpenters Local 1573 Auxiliary, St. Sebastian's Home and School, just to name a few! Joyce was a dedicated volunteer, who donated her time and efforts to many organizations and charities. She was an employee of Gimbel's Department Store, Wisconsin Electric, Schwartzburg Chevrolet and Jack Safro Toyota. Joyce was an avid gardener and traveler where her many trips included Japan, England, France, Italy, Germany, Spain and Hawaii, as well as numerous other places throughout the U.S. However, Joyce's pride and joy was taking care of her home and family. Visitation will be held on Fri., September 26, from 10:00-11:30AM at ST. VINCENT PALLOTTI WEST, 201 N. 76th Street, Milwaukee. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30AM. Private entombment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joyce's name may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, VNA Hospice or the  appreciated. The family wishes to thank the staff on the 9th Floor at St. Luke's Medical Center and AVNA Zilber Family Hospice for the loving care given to Joyce.
