Obituary for Robert "Bob" D. Wiedenhoefer, P.E.

Robert “Bob” D. Wiedenhoefer, P.E. of Rubicon passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving daughters on February 8th, 2018 at the young age of 78. He was born August 14, 1939, in Milwaukee, WI. He married Kathleen “Kathy” G.(nee Westfahl) on February 15th, 1964. 
Bob graduated from Washington High School in 1957. He went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1961. He was also a proud member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity.
He worked at Allen Bradley International and then later in life, in 1981 he was a founder of Thermo Dynamic Systems, Inc. in Menomonee Falls. Bob had been an active member of Rotary International for 25 years. He served on the Brown Deer Planning Commission for 16 years. He was a past President of the Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Association and also a served on the Wisconsin Code Committee as Chairman and Committee Member for 18 years. His career did not end when he closed the doors to Thermo Dynamic Systems, Inc., as he would say, he was never retired. 
He went on to pursue his love of farming amongst many other hobbies. He enjoyed spending as much time outdoors, hunting, fishing, sailing, woodworking, water skiing, gardening, traveling the world and just hanging out on his John Deere. He cherished his family and friends beyond measure. There was never a prouder Badger, “Once a Badger always a Badger”, he would say. 
He was the beloved father of Jenifer Eifler, Kristin Plamann, Karalyn (Cricket) Nicholls and Laura (Jeff) Lehrer. Brother of Jack Schuldes and Joy (Art) Toepfer. Grandfather of MacKenzie, Madisyn and Mikayla Eifler, Lacey and Hunter Plamann, Logan, Evan, Mason, Gryffin and Rowyn Nicholls and Lillian and Lauren Lehrer and his loyal German Wirehaired Pointer, Tucker. He will be deeply missed by many more extended family members and good friends. 
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Kathleen “Kathy” G. Wiedenhoefer; sister in law Marilyn Schuldes and his father, Theodore C. Wiedenhoefer; mother, Gladys E. Meier; step-father, William “Bill” Meier.
Family and friends are welcome to join us to celebrate the life and share the memories of Bob on Saturday February 17th from 11:00am-3:00pm at the Weissgerber’s Golden Mast Inn on Okauchee, Lake, W349N5293 Lacy’s Lane, Okauchee, WI 53069
Memorials are suggested in lieu of flowers to Froedtert Foundation for Cancer Research.
