Sherryl J. Wedel
September 27, 1938 - December 16, 2021

Passed away on Thursday, December 16th, 2021 at the age of 83.  Beloved wife of Roger, wonderful mother of Rob (Joy), Rick (Cathy), Sister to Ken (Carol) Adam, and grandmother of Logan, Lauren, Nate, Quinn, Hannah and Hailey.   Preceded in death by her parents Harry (Eunice Lindemer) and Vida Adam and her brother-in-law Richard (Lynn) Wedel.   She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and many of dear friends.

Sherryl graduated from Washington High School and went on to do extraordinary things.   She worked at Wauwatosa School district in the Human Resources department for over 25 years.   Additionally, she worked as the secretary to the Milwaukee District Area Manager of Walgreen’s for 14 years.   Sherryl volunteered her time through various organizations in Wauwatosa – Wauwatosa Credit Union board member, Wauwatosa Civic Celebration committee, helped start the Tosa Kickers Soccer Club and was Registrar and Administrative Assistant, St Mathews Human Resource Committee, and Jefferson Elementary library.  She also volunteered countless hours on her sons’ sports, school, and church activities.

Sherryl was the life of the party – she enjoyed the polka and her daily glass of red wine.  She was an avid Packer, Brewer, Bucks, Badger and Wave fan.   She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids and supported them in their sporting, educational and church activities.  She would never miss a game or an event and everyone loved her laugh, energy, and willingness to talk to anyone.  She holds the all-time record of getting 8 college kids in her Geo Metro.

She will be deeply missed, but happy she is in heaven with her parents, friends, and relatives.

In Lieu of Flowers, donations can be made to the Wauwatosa Public Library Foundation, Education Foundation of Wauwatosa, Inc or a charity of your choice.

Visitation will be held at St. Matthews Ev. Lutheran Church, 1615 Wauwatosa Avenue on Saturday January 8, 2022 from 12:00 PM to time of service at 2:00 PM.
