Retired almost 16 years.Taught at UWM,Marian, and Carroll/Columbia schools of nursing;was Nurse Manager of Mt Sinai NICU when it opened in '78/
Have traveled to all 50 states and 22 countries incl most Carribean Islands, western Europe, Egypt,Oman and Dubai.Couch potato with 2 artificial knees and 1 hip, waiting for the other to go.Packer and NASCAR fan.Love to cruise,but wheelchair makes it challenging, was once forklifted out of the cargo hold to dock.
Like my gardens but they are hard to manage by working from a mat on the ground.
Both granddaughters like theater.Older one appears tonight in My Fair Lady, younger one dances in Bros.Grimm spinoff next month. We try to see any musicals that come to town. Latest Spam-a-lot, next Beauty and the Beast. Earlier Lion King,Peter Pan,Phantom,Wicked,Cats, etc.
Second son is a sports nut, has been to over 300 venues and counting.Older son was a computer software engineer for Hewlett Packard, but has MS and no longer can write code.
Like to sew,Halloween costumes a favorite, used to knit but arthritis has cut down on that.Read a lot, Love Science Fiction, especialy Farscape and the Stargate series. Have been to 11 fan conventions and hope to do 2 this year.Favorite actor Ben Browder.Had lunch with him and nearly dumped ice water in his lap.Like his lovely wife Francesca Buller too.Also Nathan Fillian of Firefly.

I was the only girl with a car. Bessie the Black Bomb. Had lots of fun with her.
One of 2 or 3 girls in Physics.
Hated English,but at least tested out of it in college. Miss Stern(Sterm?), who had my Dad as a student(how old must she have been?) called him up and said "Oliver, that girl must have 4 years of English!", so I did.Still hated it.
Memories? Holly Hop, and Prom. Not liking anything about Phy Ed.Having to walk on the side of the hall instead of the middle and those up and down stairs.Being able to wear jeans to decorate the gym for dances, otherwise no slacks. F-u-l-l skirts or very narrow ones with socks rolled down(why?)
Blouses on the outside and sweaters underneath with a scarf around the neck. White bucks. My folks not understanding team jackets and buying mine in the wrong colors...not that Purple and Gold were so great.Being stuck all by myself in the Fiction Library to get the service key.Being valedictorian but not even being seated on the stage,let alone speaking.What was that about?
Friends I had had for years and many I still have.
