James A. Ballenger, age 84, of Plover, WI died Monday Evening, Aug. 7, 2017 at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, WI. 

He was born June 2, 1933 in Milwaukee, WI. He is the son of the late Jesse & Elda Ballenger. 

His marriage to Holly Kores took place on May 25, 1953, she survives. 

James was employed for the City of Milwaukee for 33 years.

Survivors include his wife; Holly, two sons; Russ (Terri) Ballenger of Stevens Point and Dan (Dawn) Ballenger of Muskego. Four Grandchildren; Jodi (Chris) Pagels, Jake (Jenny) Staples, Rich (Jes) Ballenger & Katie Ballenger. Four Great grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by one grandson; Craig Staples. 

Private family services will be held at a later date.
