James Paschen - Class Of 1952 VIEW PROFILE

James A. "Jim" Paschen,
Born on April 3, 1934, to Sam and Rose (nee Hirshberg) Paschen and passed away on April 14, 2022, at the age of 88. He attended Steuben Junior High School where he met Evelyn Cohen in eighth grade and who would later become his wife. They graduated from Washington High School together in 1952. Jim then went on to Marquette University and graduated from UWM. He later received his master's degree in chemistry from Marquette University. He joined the Whitefish Bay School District in 1957 as a high school chemistry teacher. After teaching for 13 years during which time he led science education for the district, he subsequently became a high school administrator, and eventually became the Whitefish Bay School District director of business, retiring in 1994. He always said that he most enjoyed his role as a teacher, and he received positive feedback for many years as his students returned to Whitefish Bay and the north shore area.
He and Evelyn married in 1954 and they had two children, Steven (Paulette) Paschen of Port Charlotte, Florida, and Janet (Steve) Ste. Marie of Whitefish Bay who both survive him. Evelyn preceded Jim in death 2019 after 64 years of marriage. Jim is further survived by his two loving granddaughters, Monica Ste. Marie (fiancé Arich Fuher) and Linda Ste. Marie who have always been the light of his life. He delighted in the accomplishments of his children and granddaughters. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Faye Weinberger. He is further survived by his nieces, many good friends and his two grand-dogs whom he loved, Molly Paschen and Riley Ste. Marie.
