Obituary for Jean Carol Pauline Gaedke

Jean Carol Pauline Gaedke, age 87, a longtime resident of Naperville, IL, passed away on May 24, 2019 in Naperville, IL. 

She was born December 5, 1931 in Milwaukee, WI to the late Laura and Emil Harthun. 

Jean is survived by her husband of 53 years Orville “Orv” Victor Gaedke; daughter Julie Gaedke; niece Lori Cunico; nephews Mike Hogan and Pat Hogan; cousin Marge Franz; in addition to countless friends. 

She is preceded in death by her twin sister Joan McKinnon; nephews Steve McKinnon and Scott McKinnon. 

Jean was a stenographer for the Milwaukee Police Department and then went on to work for Marshall Field’s for over 17 years. Always a woman of strong faith, Jean was a proud member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Naperville. 

Family and friends to gather Thursday, May 30 for 9:00 AM visitation until time of funeral service 11:00 AM at Bethany Lutheran 1550 Modaff Rd. Naperville, IL 60565. 

Interment will follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
