Wiviott, Joanne Shiela August 14, 1931- February 5, 2017) Joanne Wiviott, loving matriarch and inspiration to so many, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday morning February 5, 2017. Joanne lived life to the fullest each day, personifying the phrase "empowered woman" before it was coined. She had an exceptional capacity to love without limit as a wife, mother, grandparent, and friend. Joanne was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and later resided in South Florida, then Sonoma County, California. Her strong Midwestern values were ever present. She nurtured lifelong friendships that transcended time and place. Joanne is survived by her husband of 65 years, Howard Wiviott , 3 children Gary (wife Ellen Wiviott), Lory (wife Suzy Wiviott), Cindy Huggins (husband James Huggins), 4 grandchildren Emmalee Pearson (husband Tony Brungraber), Amanda Pearson, Lea Wiviott Boracchia (husband Marc Boracchia), Allyana Wiviott (husband Lloyd Hall), grandchildren through marriage, Matthew Dalton (wife Cyndi Varady) and Aria Pisor (husband Nicholas Pisor) and beautiful Nevaeh, Odin, Gray and Ash. We will all love you always, 'bigger then the sky." A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 12 at Mount Tamalpais Cemetery, 2500 5th Ave, San Rafael, CA 94901.
