Sherwin C Peltin - Class Of 1946 VIEW PROFILE

Sherwin Peltin passed away peacefully on February 21, 2021. Sherwin was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and spent nearly all of his life in that area. He was the son of the late Alvin and the late Rebecca Peltin (nee Weisfeldt). Sherwin was a legal scholar, earning advanced degrees in law and federal taxation. After completing his military service in the Korean War, Sherwin became a leading tax and business lawyer and CPA, working into his 80s. Sherwin also served as a trustee of the Village of Bayside and President of Congregation Shalom. Sherwin was devoted to the late Julie Peltin (nee Stern), his wife of 67 years, as well as their three children, the late Laurie Peltin Merar, Steve (Nena) Peltin of Seattle, WA, and Bill (Saree) Peltin of Long Grove, IL. He also cherished his relationship with his six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Sherwin and Julie traveled widely, but also enjoyed opening their home to family and friends and cheering on the University of Wisconsin Badgers. The family will be holding a memorial service via Zoom on Wednesday February 24th at 2:00 p.m. CST.
