Heimsch, Anita N. (Nee Glish) Anita N. Heimsch age 90, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 17, 2017. Anita had been the Executive Director of the Waukesha County Mental Health Association for 20 years, where she received numerous awards including the Waukesha Woman of Distinction in 1988. She developed many lifelong friendships with her coworkers, including the "MHA Ladies," whose only requirement to join was that they had to be retired from the job. She enjoyed many years of lunch dates and movies with the group. Anita loved a good Cosmo, a good book, good food, and socializing. She enjoyed going out to eat, seeing movies, theater, and traveling with friends. Anita had great sense of humor and a wonderful smile. Anita was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, George R Heimsch. Anita is survived by her 3 daughters, Peggy (John) Brandt, Mary Heimsch Askin, Barbara Heimsch (Sheldon Solochek), and her 3 sons, Jonathon, Tom (Nancy), and George (Leah). She was also a proud Grandmother to Brian, Bill, Tim, Joe, Tanner, Sara, and Aaron, and 5 great grandchildren. The family would like to give thanks to the amazing staff at the Milwaukee Catholic Home and Vitas Hospice for their care and compassion. Memorials may be designated to the Milwaukee Catholic Home Health & Rehab Center at 2462 N Prospect Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53211. Anita's life will be celebrated in a private family service to be held at a later date.
