Charles S Raddatz - Class Of 1941 VIEW PROFILE

Raddatz, Charles S. "Chuck" Born February 26, 1922. Born to eternal life October 9, 2016. Survived by his loving sons Mark and Paul, grandchildren Michael, Jennifer, and Charlie. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Janet and loving grandaughter Ali. Chuck was a proud graduate of the Merchant Marines Academy at Kings Point NJ, rising to the rank of lieutenant on a munitions ship in the South Pacific during WWII. After the war he returned to Milwaukee to work for his father and begin his lifelong career in the Milwaukee tanning industry. Chuck ran the Wisconsin Leather Co. before starting the C.S. Raddatz Leather Co. He was also past President of the Leather Industries of America (1964), the Two Ten Foundation (1969) , and the Leather & Allied Trades Association's Man of the Year 1977. He was passionate about playing golf with his "dawn patrol" friends for over 4 decades and had many friends from around the world. He did his best to always stay in contact with them on an annual basis sending hundreds of Christmas cards every year. Charles will always be remembered as a wonderful father, husband and friend to those who knew him. A private family service will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park.
