In Memory

Alvin Rottman - Class Of 1939

Rottman, Alvin Al Rottman was a great guy and had a generous, gentle spirit. Everyone who knew him said so and believe us, he knew a lot of people. Al was a WWII veteran. He served in the African Campaign and the invasion of Southern France. He was Betty's devoted and loving husband of 67 years and a great dad and grandfather to children Mark, Linda (Doug) and Dale (Colleen) and grandchildren Sara, Matt, Carey (Jessica) and Rebecca. He is further survived by many relatives including niece Marilyn (Gene), and great-nephews Elliot (Karen), Danny, Mitchell and Steven. He never shirked his duty as a father. Never missed a kid's or grandkid's game, tournament or match. Beside his family, his passion was golf, played entirely on public links. He will be sorely missed. He passed away November 6, 2012, age 91 years. Graveside services 1:00 PM Friday, November 9, 2012, at Spring Hill Cemetery, 166 S. Hawley Ct., Milwaukee. Memorial gifts to Congregation Shalom are appreciated. Following the service, the family will receive friends at Laurel Oaks, 1700 W. Bender Rd., Glendale at approximately 3:00 PM.
