In my Sophmore year Art class with Alice Gutsch she gave me a critique for a painting in a one on one conversation.

"This is like Van Gogh"

It didn't seem like much at that time, but over the years this was perspicacious and bonds me with dear Alice.

I am an artist and realize when she said that, she knew.
