I am certain that Syd was killed in action as a Milwaukee Police officer in February of 1982. This was really tragic, I was a close friend of both Syd and his wife Marcia, and his sudden death was devastating. We had attended UWM together and had continued to stay close through softball, touch football, and social gatherings. He was a great friend and an excellent man who died protecting his community. Syd Sonny Snow, truly an, "all american boy" if there ever was one. Syd was a great friend and is missed to this day. He was killed in the line of duty in January of 1982 while serving and protecting the city of Milwaukee as a police officer. Syd was headed for much more than a police officer , with his intellegence and determination, Syd would have quickly rose through the ranks of the MPD. I still have a difficult time believing something so tragic as Syd's death, so young actually happened, I miss him everyday, Warren Stehling
