Milwaukee native Robert Allan Riches of Mequon died April 12. He was 57.
A 1967 graduate of Washington High School, he attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He worked in the insurance business, for M Barrington Corp. of Mequon.
A member of Congregation Shalom, he volunteered for the Zink the Zebra Foundation, formerly served as a president of the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center and as a board member of the Jewish Home and Care Center until his death.
Previously, he served as a trustee for the Village of Bayside.
Preceded in death by wife Gayle Riches, nee Berlin, in 2002, he is survived by wife Joan Riches, nee Tauber; daughters Stephanie (Michael) Dykeman of Bayside, Jody (Alan) Cook of Denver and Danielle Riches of Brown Deer; mother Anne Riches of Mequon; sister Debbie (Marc) Lurie of Bayside; and one grandson.
Rabbi Ronald Shapiro officiated at funeral services April 14. Burial was in Second Home Cemetery.
