Ellen E. Ferguson
February 20, 1922 - November 30, 2021

Ellen E. Ferguson of Wauwatosa WI passed away November 30, 2021, at the age of 99.

Ellen was the wife of the late Donald S. Ferguson who passed away in 1988.   She was the loving mother of the late Sheldon (Ann) Ferguson, Scott Ferguson, and Jeff (Nancy) Ferguson.   Ellen is further survived by grandchildren Michael Ferguson, Lindsey Mahal, Tim Ferguson, Brandon Ferguson, Ashley Ferguson, Laura Bengs, Karen Lorenz, and Andrew Ferguson, in addition to 11 great grandchildren.   

Ellen was born on February 20, 1922, to Alfred and Anne Euler in Milwaukee WI.   Ellen’s father passed away in 1922 when Ellen was only six months old.  She and her sister Marguerite were raised alone by her mother in Milwaukee in very difficult economic times.  Ellen graduated from Washington High School.   Ellen went to work at Dunn & Stringer in Milwaukee, where she met her future husband, Don.  Ellen and Don were married in April 1943 prior to Don’s deployment to Europe in 1944 for WWII. 

Ellen lived in Wauwatosa her entire adult life except for eight years when the family moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas.  She was a long-term member of Wauwatosa Presbyterian Church.  Ellen retired from Wauwatosa State Bank in 1987.  Ellen was a passionate bowler, always participating in leagues and tournaments.  After Ellen’s retirement, she established her matriarch status as “Grammy” with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She attended most of her grandchildren’s events and was a staunch supporter of everything family.  Ellen never complained about the hardships she experienced in life and was a graceful lady until her passing.

A private family memorial service will be held on December 9, 2021.   Family only interment will be held at Wauwatosa Cemetery at a later date.
