Lois A. Chappel

Fond du Lac - Lois A. Chappel, age 80, formerly of Milwaukee and Larsen, WI went home to the Lord on Wednesday, April 11, 2018. She was born on July 19, 1937 in Milwaukee to parents, Frank and Sadie (Stroschein) Manthe. Lois was united in marriage on June 20, 1959 at Bethel Lutheran Church, Milwaukee to Michael Chappel.

Lois was member of St. Lucas Lutheran, Milwaukee, Martin Luther, Neenah and most recently, Peace Lutheran in Hartford. She enjoyed embroidery and cooking. She was also an avid reader. Her greatest passion was her family. 

Lois is survived by her son, Mark (Cory) Chappel; six grandchildren, Amanda (Joe) Befi, Brad, Callianne, Alyssa (Jason) Krueger, Natalie and Olivia; sisters, Karen Manthe and Carla (Don) Vandenberg; brother-in-law, Harold Inniger; also survived by other relatives and friends.

Lois is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Michael; sister, Jarice Inniger and brother, Roger (Judy) Manthe.

Memorial Service for Lois will be held at Shimon Funeral Home, 824 Union St., Hartford on Friday, April 20 at 11:00 AM. Visitation for family and friends from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11. Committal at Highland Memorial Park, New Berlin. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the .
