Stephen Daniels - Class Of 1953 VIEW PROFILE

Stephen J. Daniels (Steve) passed away peacefully at the age of 87 on Wednesday January 19, 2022, at Angels Grace Hospice with his loving family by his side.

Beloved husband of Joan. Loving father of Joan (Jeff) Puls, Jenny (Leo) Hernandez, Becky Mclaughlin, Andrea (Tom) Reese and Jerry (Colette) Meyers. Proud grandpa of Shawn (Lora) Meyers, Spencer Meyers, Jennifer (Chris) DeLaNuez, Alexander (Natasha) Hernandez and Andrew (Jessica) Hernandez. Great-grandpa of Evan (Haylee) Snyder, Hannah (Carlos) Avila, Alexander Meyers, Destin Snyder, Phoenix Snyder, Kaitlyn Oliva, Iverson, Elijah, Isaiah, Vida, Christian and Jayden DeLaNuez, Sadie and Noah Hernandez, Matthew and Brandon Hernandez. Great-great-grandpa of Sebastian, Azula and Carlitos Avila and Lincoln Snyder. Brother of Helene (Roy) Thorp and Kathy Daniels. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Maryann, his daughter Susan Meyers, his grandson Christopher Snyder.

Steve was born on December 6th, 1934, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of John and Helen Daniels. He graduated from Washington High School in Milwaukee in 1953. He was an U.S. Army Veteran serving as a Private 2 Combat Engineer from 1954 - 1956.

Not long after serving in the Army, Steve began his lifelong career in the graphic printing industry, where he worked his way up from Machine Operator, to Foreman to Manager and finally to Salesman with Mueller Color Plate in Milwaukee. He loved his profession and was highly regarded by his superiors, colleagues and clients.

Steve married Joan Steinfeldt and together they raised 6 children in Sussex, Wisconsin. Steve was loved and admired dearly by his family, friends and everyone who knew him and he will be missed. He was a wonderful provider for his family and he set a great example of hard work, good morals, professionalism, kindness and generosity. One of his great pleasures was working in the yard of their beautiful three-acre property that sat at the hilltop overlooking woodlands, farms and the town of Sussex. He gave his children a love and appreciation for nature and caring for the trees, plants and flowers, which were in abundance on the property. Steve was generous and always went out of his way to help everyone who was in need. Steve enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a very talented artist, and could draw anything. Steve was a longstanding member of The Eagle's Club in Milwaukee.
