Phyllis Engel (Sweet) - Class Of 1950

Sweet Strickon, Phyllis Jeanne (Nee Engel) Passed away December 1, 2011 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of the late Arnold Strickon, Ph.D. and formerly married to Allen Sweet. Loving mother of Randi Sweet, of Scottsdale, AZ, Dr. Craig Richard (Vicki) Sweet of Fort Myers, FL, and Marcey Sweet (Mark) Strick of Peoria, AZ. Cherished grandmother of Rebecca Lee and Andrea Powers, Parker Allen and Samantha Rae Sweet, Andrew Benjamin Cohen and Arianna Rachel Strick. Dear sister of Judith S. (Dr. Jerome C.) Vergamini of Eugene, OR. Fond aunt of Michael David Vergamini, Esq., Beth Allison Vergamini Maleport and Daniel (Kelly) Vergamini. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Rose (nee Ladish) Engel. Further survived by her great-nephew Tyler JLV Gorby, her great-niece Rachelle Allison Maleport and other loving relatives and dear friends. Phyllis was well known as an Educational Psychologist, working with youth and adults, in schools and in private practice. She authored the book "Something Happened to Me", also translated into Hebrew and Spanish. Funeral services to be held on Monday, December 5, at 10:00 AM at Congregation Sinai, 8223 N. Port Washington Rd., Fox Point. Burial to follow at Mound Zion Cemetery, 14510 W. North Ave., Brookfield. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Congregation Sinai, if desired.
