Known by his friends as Butch or Butchie, he was a collateral victum of the Viet Nam War. He was exposed to "Agent Orange" . He passed away in California, while awaiting a heart transplant. Last time I saw him, he haden't changed a bit. Keep him close in your memories.

I do, Sandy. He was a lovable guy. I wish I could see a picture of him when he was older to see how he was. what a tragedy--to die like that, from Agent Orange. And he wasn't the only victim of that war from WHS.  What a great guy!  Jackie Porter, classof '62  Newton, Mass.

When I was 16 and got my driving permit, Butchie was the 1st person to take me out on the road and let me drive his car.  What a great guy!!

I remember him well. Lots of energy and and lived by the corner across from Sherman School. All of us younger kids were an audience to him. Great memories  Always nice, likeable and sorry to hear of his passing. His memory continues on!

I also remember him well. Seemed like he was always in a good mood. Knew him as Butchie too. He was up for anything with anyone, really nice guy  to do stuff with, so sorry to hear he passed away.

I didn't meet Butchie until Washington. Together with Izzy Goldberg and Phil Kolmas we would sometmes play raquetball at 11pm on Friday nights at Le Club.l Great competitor. Lots of fun to be around. Always knew his heart was weak but he never complained. I specifically remember a fight he and Kenny Shekman
had in the auditorium during lunch hour. Oh yes, the good old days. Butchie added lot of color to our lives. He passed on way too early and I will never forget him.
Thanks for the good times Butchie.

Just read the comments from Errol and agree 100%. He added color to my life too plus everyone he touched. Besides being cute because of his great  smile when he talked he was pretty much in an up beat mood.

I also see Mrs. Gollup at some fuctions I go to. I always mention her husband who was one of my best teachers.
