To Norm's family, Many of the young people at Mt Carmel Lutheran Church were friends of Norm. He was a gentle, quiet guy....so very likeable. We were all so devasted when the news came. For many if not most of us, loosing Norm was the first dose of the realities that existed outside of the safety of our neighborhood. We learned in an instant that life, the world, mankind can be cruel and unjust. Losing Norm so tragically and so suddenly changed you forever. Life would never be the same. This I know because I lost a son to a tragic accident also. But I want you who were left behind and survive with the emptiness that no one else can fill...I want you to know how much I honor his memory. He was a decent human being. And I am at peace because I know he knew Jesus as his Savior.
