Mrs. Behnke was my typing teacher thoughout my H.S. years at WHS. I then was part of her Office Education Class my senior year in which the class voted me President. I credit Mrs. Behnke for inspiring me to go out and work hard and to be proud of myself. I truly learned so much from her not just about typing or office education but about life in general. She was alot like my mom who had a great sense of humor, strict yet forgiving and understanding youth. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. Her office ed. class was instrumental in getting myself and many other young women in my class(1983) out into the work force during the afternoons of our senior year. I always thrived on structure and between classes, office ed. and all my sports I was involved with it kept me on the straight and narrow and I always knew I could talk to Mrs. Behnke about anything that was going on. She was more than a teacher, she was so easy to approach. If all teachers were like her students would love school just like I did. My deepest sympathy goes out to her family. Patti Cook Class of 1983
