Rein, Michael F. Michael died unexpectedly on December 20, 2017 at the age of 53. Michael is survived by his brothers, Louis, George (Chris), Tim (Katherine), Joseph (Bernadette): Nieces/Nephews Frances Herka, Anthony (Rachael) Rein, Barbara (Peter) Honhke, Caroline (Steven) Lentz, Traci Bernal. Further survived by other family and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents George and Freda Rein, sister Catherine (Todd) Herka, fiancee Tresa Campbell, nephew Joseph, sister-in-law Linda. Michael was a graduate of Washington H.S. where he worked as a para-professional for 34 years. He was integral to the success of the city-wide Special Ed Prom which was held yearly at Washington High School, also acting as DJ at this and other dances. Students enjoyed Mike's presence at camp Side by Side yearly, as he gave of his time to supervise the week-long event. A kind heart and a creative force, Mike was involved in every Walk/Run and fundraising drive promoted at Washington. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held for Mike on Friday, December 29 at Divine Sheperd Lutheran Church located at 9741 W Beloit Road. Gathering (no viewing) will be from 10 AM-12 PM with service at 12:00 PM.
