Rubin, Joel Harry

Joel Harry Rubin, beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016. He was born on June 25, 1948, in Milwaukee to Hyman and Hortense (Brodsky) Rubin.

Joel graduated from UWM with a Master's Degree in Social Work and devoted his work time to helping young children. He enjoyed watching Packer games with his family and good friends. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and family often incorporating his love of American History into their trips. Joel's goal in life was to provide security and happiness for his family who he loved dearly.

Joel is survived by his wife, Mary, Green Bay; children, Julia Cornette (Chad), Jacob Rubin (Nici) and Lisa Rubin (special friend, Brian Butler); and granddaughter, Avery Rubin. He is also survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Micki and John Brittain, along with nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Family and friends may visit Proko-Wall Funeral Home, 1630 E. Mason St., Green Bay, on Monday, July 18, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., where there will be a Memorial Service at 7:00 p.m. Online condolences may be expressed at www.prokowall.com.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be directed to Doctors Without Borders or the .
