Michael Kozlow Obituary

Michael ("Mike") Kozlow, 80, of Bradenton, FL, passed away due to complications from lung cancer on April 14, 2024. Born in 1943 in Indianapolis to parents Dave and Marcia (Rosenbaum) Kozlow, Mike spent most of his life in Milwaukee, WI. He graduated from Washington High School and pursued higher education at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, focusing on Broadcast Journalism and Communications. Mike honorably served in the Vietnam War as a Radio Broadcaster with the United States Army, earning several medals for his distinguished service. After his military service, he furthered his education at the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, obtaining degrees in Business Finance and a Master of Business Administration. He then embarked on a successful 30-year career as a Stock Broker and Financial Planner.

Mike's personal life was equally fulfilling. He met his future wife, Pamela Werner, on a blind date in 1968 and quickly knew she was the one. The couple married within a year and celebrated 55 years together this past December. They were blessed with two daughters, Wende Kozlow, MD, and Danielle (Kozlow) Stephenson. Upon retiring in 1999, Michael and Pamela relocated to Florida, settling first in Bonita Springs and later in Bradenton. Mike enjoyed wine, cooking, model building, fishing, and golf, achieving six holes in one. His greatest pride was his family, including his daughters and four grandchildren.

Mike was predeceased by his parents, Dave and Marcia Kozlow, and his brother Leslie Kozlow. He leaves behind his loving wife, Pamela; daughters, Wende and Danielle; sons-in-law, Adam Gersh and Todd Stephenson; grandchildren, Jack and Ella Faye Stephenson, Madeline and Molly Gersh; and sisters-in-law, Barbara Kozlow and Susan Werner. Mike's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
