Passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the age of 79. Beloved mother of John (Melanie) Olsen and Kim (Barry) Bloom. Dear grandmother of Lea and Garrett Olsen, Elizabeth, Robert and Thomas Bloom. Dear sister of Theodore (Dee) Tompkins and Judie (John) Durr. Further survived by many other family and friends. Kathy was preceded in death by her parents Clinton and Lillian Tompkins, 3 brothers Clinton Jr, Hurth (Inge) and Don (Ruby) Tompkins and a sister Audrey (Vernon) Knoll.

Kathy was born in Milwaukee on February 1st, 1941. A graduate of Washington High School, Kathy worked for Milwaukee Insurance Company after high school but left to raise her two children and at this, she was great. She later returned to work at The Wishing Well in Wauwatosa where she worked with her sister and owner, Audrey. Kathy enjoyed bowling and playing golf, she especially enjoyed her Monday golf outings with her brother Ted and his wife Dee. She was always one to crochet a memorable afghan and was a wiz behind a sewing machine. She loved her long weekends traveling with her friends, especially the fall trips to Door County. She was always up for traveling down south with her sister Judie.

Her greatest joy was her 5 grandchildren. She spent many days with them and became an annual Zoo Pass member so they could always look forward to a day at the zoo with grandma.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thank you to the St. Camillus hospice care. At this time there will be no formal ceremony but our family does hope to arrange a celebration of her life some time in 2021.
