I sold our family company, wholesale-retail liquor, wine, beer, and importing company in 1990, after retiring in 1986.
We bought a 42' Grand Banks Motoryacht, and lived in a Marina in Sarasota, Fla. After a few years, we sold the boat, and tranported our 30' sailboat, from Milwaukee to the same Maina, and also lived aboard with our Sheltie Jaffa.
In 1990 we bought a motorcoach from the factory in Oregon, drove it to Milwaukee, and left nine months later to visit a number of cities to determine where we wanted to live. Our choice was San Diego.
My wife Sandy, was an OTR, Occupational Thereapist, and Program Director of Day One. It is an outpatient day care treatment center for mentally challenged adolescents, and adults. Sandy got her B.S. and Master's Degree from the U. of Wisconsin. We met there in our senior year, and were married a year afterwards, after a courtship between Milwaukee, and her Residency at Chicago Hospitals.
I have been a Volunteer Arbitrator and Mediator for the States of Wisconsin, City of Milwaukee. I have also done the same for the State of California, and the City Attorney of San Diego, for a combined total of over 25 years.
I have written Arbitration Decisions and Mediated in hundreds of cases regarding all types of individual/s conflict. I have never had an Arbitration Decision, I have made, overturned.
Additionally, I have been a mentor/advisor to Under and Graduate Students, in the School of Business at San Diego State University.
Also as an advisor/mentor to Foreign Exchange students, in the same
Uniserity.
As an active member of SCORE, part of the U.S. Small Business Administration, I have advised hundredes of people aspiring, and people in business. I was Chapter Secretary for a number of years.
I have also worked as an business consultant/advisor to a San Diego non-profit. Projects have included Balboa Park, Qualcomm Stadium, and the Municial System of Parks and Recration. Detailed, written reports were submitted in all Projects.
