Evelyn "Evie" A Rakita (Davidoff) - Class Of 1947

Davidoff, Evelyn "Evie" A lifelong resident of Milwaukee passed away December 1, 2012, at the age of 83. Wife of the late Harold Davidoff. Mother of Monte, Elena, Roxane (Lance Lichter) and Madalyn (David Thompson) Davidoff. Sister of Gloria (Arthur) Leon and Lois (Melvin) Goldstein. Evie attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and worked for Blue Cross in Milwaukee until the time of her retirement. She will be remembered as the vibrant and life-loving person she was before she was stricken with a brain tumor that she courageously fought for many years before her decline. Evie loved to travel and visited numerous countries worldwide on adventure as well as sight seeing journeys. She was an excellent ballroom dancer, which was greatly appreciated by the residents and others at Chai Point in Milwaukee over the number of years she lived there. She spent her last years at the adjoining Bader Center. The family greatly appreciates the care and attention she received at the Bader Center, particularly the kindness with which the nursing staff took care of her. Graveside services Wednesday, December 5 at 10:30 AM at Second Home Cemetery, 3705 S. 43 St., Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to JNF appreciated.
