Mary Ann passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 22, 2016, surrounded by her devoted family. Preceded in death by her husband of 9 years James and her dear friend of 35 years, Bill Burg. Beloved mother of Christine (Dan) Baar, Mark (Angela) Ruidl, Clare Ruidl and Kathy (Mike) Attewell. Aunt of Denise Brauer and Debbie Chamberlain. She was so proud of her 7 grandchildren Scott, Taylor, Lauren, Luke, Colton, Madeline, Weston and family friend Brandon Marchan.

Mary Ann began her career teaching 4th grade. After raising her 4 children she returned to teaching Bridge in 7 cities for over 26 years, first learning the game while attending college at UW-Milwaukee.

She also volunteered at Holy Apostles, her parish for 60 years, and for the Florentine Opera Company. She served as a registered parliamentarian helping to fund raise for the Opera Club. She served as president for both the Wisconsin Association of Parliamentarians and the New Berlin Women's Club.

Mary Ann had a great sense of humor, loved music and movies and enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren, always commenting how blessed she was to have everyone nearby to visit.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 27th from 5:00PM until 6:45PM at HOLY APOSTLES CATHOLIC CHURCH 16000 W. National Avenue, New Berlin. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 7:00 PM, followed by a small reception at church. Private interment at Holy Apostles Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Apostles Parish or the Women's Center, Inc., Waukesha, serving women and children who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault and abuse.
