Dorothy became 'our loving nurse', raising her eight children with grace and fortitude and believing that her children could do anything in life they chose to do. She instilled her Germanic perseverance and her good nature with all. An avid reader, she loved to discuss books with her family and friends. She will be remembered and cherished as an avid bridge player for more than 50 years, sharing lasting friendships, showering her cheerfulness and graciousness along the way. She was a member of the Greenfield Women's Club, and served on several committees. She was a member of the Red Hatters whom she enjoyed greatly for their diversity of women and age. Dorothy especially loved her St. Mary's Renew Group, all of whom were special in her spiritual journey. Our mother, wife, friend and neighbor will be greatly missed. Special thanks to the staff, friends and neighbors at Forest Ridge and for all of the loving care at LindenGrove. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to the .
